How to build a bivouac

.How long does it take to set up this? About 5 minutes with skilled scout members.

.What does the word bivouac mean? A temporary camp without tents or cover, used especially by soldiers or mountaineers.

.What direction should the bivouac be facing? The closed off side should face the wind.

.What should you have to keep you warm at night? A fire.

.What time of day should you build a bivouac? During the day so you dont have to build in the dark.

.Where is a good spot to build a fire? In open ground about 1 1/2 meters away so you don't burn down the bush while you sleep.
