An annoying boss, a bikini, and a fake illness.

There once was a girl with an annoying boss. She liked her job but then her boss fell off a roof, so a new boss was promoted. She didn't like him at all, he was really bossy and arrogant. One day she decided to fake an illness because she just wanted to lie on the the beach in her bikini. She thought that she could stay there all day. But was reminded that she had to go back to work the next day. The next day at work she was asked to go to the bosses office. She got the bosses office and the sat in the chair outside his door (you never just walk into the bosses office uninvited.) 5 minutes after she had been there a guy came running out of the office crying, he just got fired. It was her turn to go in, she expected to get yelled at for waging. But to her surprise, her boss just gave her a gift basket and said hope your feeling well today. She had got away with it, and gained a free gift basket.

Wonder

In class we are reading a book called Wonder by R.J. Palacio. The main character is named August he look a bit unusual. He is surprised to hear that his mum and dad are talking about sending him to school. 

Things that happened therm

SCIENCE FAIR:

Every year we do science fair. Science fair is where you chose a topic about something science. You then have to buy a science board they only cost $10 so it's pretty cheap. Also you have researched the topic that you chose and do an experiment involving it. Your science fair has to have a reason. Or you can do a technology one which is where you invent something that will be helpful. 

CROSS COUNTRY:

Cross country happens every year. There is a track that is 3 k's long and everybody has to run. If you're absent you have to run it at a later date. You run in groups first it is year 7 girls then year 7 boys and then year 8 girls, year 8 boys. I came 270 out of over 300 kids.

PE:

For fitness or PE we do a Rimu round robin. The 4 classes of Rimu get split into 8 groups.

There are 4 different sports, the 4 sports that we did this term we're netball, basketball, soccer and ultimate frisbee. If it's raining we do either zumba in the hall or dodge ball in the gym.

TECH:

Every term we do to techs the first tech I did this term was Art. I art we learn to make multi colour prints. We also did music tech we learned how to play the keyboard, guitar and ukulele.  

Lucan Battison wins long-hair court battle

Lucan Battison, is a New Zealander. He went to court after refusing to get his hair cut which is one of the schools rules. Hair has to be above the collar and out of the eyes. Which it was when tied back in a bun. Thus applying by the rules. The family said "The rules have to be reasonable and certain." The school is worried that if lucan does win the court battle. Then each individual will go crazy and change their whole appearance and the school thinks they will lose control. Lucan won the court battle and the school had to pay the lawyer fees.
