Lucan Battison, is a New Zealander. He went to court after refusing to get his hair cut which is one of the schools rules. Hair has to be above the collar and out of the eyes. Which it was when tied back in a bun. Thus applying by the rules. The family said "The rules have to be reasonable and certain." The school is worried that if lucan does win the court battle. Then each individual will go crazy and change their whole appearance and the school thinks they will lose control. Lucan won the court battle and the school had to pay the lawyer fees.
